- The aim of this paper is to find out whether multinational corporations have the same capital structure. Capital structure refers to the way a firm finances its assets and corresponds to the ratio of its own and borrowed long term resources. Financial decisions are key decisions in corporate finance since they directly influence company’s sustainability and growth. In general, the decision on financing is not about the choice between debt and equity, but is rather about selecting the most adequate proportion of the two. The decision about equity and debt mix capital structure is influenced by taking into account income, risk, suitability, control and timing. These factors vary to a great extent from a company to a company, from industry to industry, depending on the characteristics mentioned in this paper and the particular situation of the company. This paper is significant for Multinational corporations, education institutions, financial industry, and organization management.
