- Ptilium Gyllenhal, 1827 Remarks: Genus of small to very small beetles in need of revision. There are 17 species currently listed for the Palaearctic and numerous others from other parts of the world almost all more than 70 years ago. Only two species have been recorded from Africa both from Angola (Darby 2018, includes further information).
