- Technologies which allow quantitative measures and provide objective parameters are important and they benefit the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) by increasing information about the patient and the severity of the PD. In this sense, this work aims to extract features from signals collected using capacitive sensors to compare the motor patterns from healthy individuals and patients diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, while they performed movement tasks with the wrist. A total of six features were extracted from each window (task) of the signal, and using Bootstrap method with boxplot graphic, and applying three hypotesis tests, it was possible to see that the variability of the wrist movement for pacients with PD is lower than for healthy individuals. In addition, the Principal Component Analysis(PCA) could show the movement task and feature extracted that best represents the difference between the groups.
