  • Poster at LPS 2019, Milan Introduction To investigate the dynamics of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) in lakes is a challenging topic due to the complex processes involved in SAV successional patterns. SAV acts as ecosystem engineer; however, SAV is also extremely sensitive to human perturbations (i.e. eutrophication). Accordingly, understanding the spatio-temporal drivers is useful for elaborate better management practices. Aims & Hypotheses Or aims are: 1) to map the distribution of submerged rooted macrophytes of Iseo Lake in the period from 2015 to 2017; and 2) to evaluate their spatio–temporal dynamics. Our main hypothesis is that macrophyte beds are characterized by notnegligible variations in colonized areas, with an high intrinsic cover-abundance dynamicity.
