  • The article examines the international experience of teaching Science and describes some of the changes to this discipline following the development of a new edition of the National Curriculum with the aim to create a new profile of the gymnasium graduate. The authors recommend certain types of active learning that may be used when teaching Science in the 5th grade, and make methodological suggestions, which correlate with the generic attributes of the student, specific competences, competence units and units of content.
