- The EU will introduce the General Data Protection Regulation. This will result in a harmonization of data protection. Users will have more control over their data and privacy. For example, a reporting obligation in the event of incidents and the portability of accumulated data will be introduced. Companies have to deal with this issue by adopting a risk-based approach.
