  • The subject is a prominent one. In bookshops, there is many a shelf dedicated to countless books in the style of popular science that deal with the art of solving problems. Many of them frequently find their way to the top of the bestseller lists. Therefore, it seems reasonable to ask the question if and how we can apply the knowledge gained from the research into logical fallacies to IT and IT Security in order to achieve an adequate handling of risks. Which useful information can we gain from studying human behaviour so that we can make better, more informed, more objective decisions in the world of IT in general and the assessing of risks in particular?
