- Siamspinops Dankittipakul & Corronca, 2009 Siamspinops Dankittipakul & Corronca, 2009: 69 e2. Type species: Siamspinops spinosissimus Dankittipakul & Corronca, 2009. Pakawops Crews & Harvey, 2011: 96. Type species: Selenops formosensis Kayashima, 1943. Syn. n. Diagnosis. The genus Siamspinops can be distinguished from other genera of Selenopidae by the following combination of characters (Dankittipakul and Corronca 2009): tibiae I and II with 11–15 paired ventral spines, metatarsi I and II with 7–11 paired ventral spines; epigyne usually depressed, with lateral lobes and with sclerotized, highly coiled copulatory ducts; and male chelicerae extremely elongate, up to 1/2 length of the carapace. Remarks. The monotypic genus Pakawops was diagnosed by possessing seven pairs of ventral spines on tibiae I and II and five pairs on metatarsi I and II (Crews and Harvey 2011). However, this diagnosis was proposed solely on the description of Selenops formosanus by Kayashima (1943b), as specimens were unavailable to the authors. After examining additional female specimens collected from various localities in Taiwan, we discovered that this diagnostic character is no longer valid, as we found that the specimens agree with the diagnosis of Siamspinops as given above. Therefore, we propose that the genus Pakawops is a junior synonym of Siamspinops.
