Perichaeta stelleri Michaelsen, 1892, by original designation. Diagnosis. " Megascolecidae with an oesophageal gizzard in VIII, intestinal caeca and gizzards absent. Body cylindrical, setae never excessively crowded ventrally, creeping sole absent. Male pores on circular porophores which may be within copulatory pouches. Crescentic genital markings absent. Spermathecal pores small, spermathecal diverticula simple and usually ectal in origin" (Easton 1979: 28). Distribution. Philippines, Indonesian archipelago, Papua New Guinea, Malaya peninsula and Vietnam (Easton 1979).
