Male pore on 15 small, hardly seen. Genital papillae constant on 9–11 c. Nephridial pores aligned in b. Four pairs of vesicles in 9–12; spermathecae 9 / 10 – 10 / 11 in d. Dendrobaena byblica olympiaca has long been in synonymy with D. byblica (Pop 1949; Zicsi 1982). However these worms clearly differ from the Levantine type specimens of D. byblica in the following characters, which justify the subspecific status: dorsal pores lacking (vs. 10 / 11 in byblica byblica), dark reddish-brown pigmentation present (vs. almost unpigmented with slight reddish hints at the head), body dimensions 40–65 mm by 4–5 mm (vs. 20–40 mm by 3–4 mm), genital papillae constantly on 9–11 c (vs. 11 a, b, c).
