- Social orientation is a special feature of modern tourism. Recently, in the economic scientific literature, a number of publications have been published that explore the problems of tourism development in various aspects. However, the peculiarities of socialization in the field of tourism are poorly researched and require further scientific study. Socialization as a process of assimilation and further development of an individual socio-cultural experience takes place in the field of tourism, which is primarily associated with the process of moving in physical space and limited in time. Depending on the activity, in the process of socialization also distinguish different stages. Consumption of tourist services as a type of human activity has a pronounced social character. In the field of tourism, the impact of the environment on all participants in tourism is extremely powerful, which contributes not only to the acquisition of social experience, but also its "redistribution" and "adaptation" to the level of personal settings. Сharacter and intensity of socialization processes in the field of tourism depends on what objects are visited by tourists, which objects of social infrastructure are used for living, etc. Сharacter and intensity of socialization processes in the field of tourism also depends on the type of tourism. An important feature of socialization in the field of tourism is that it can be progressive and regressive. Particular attention should be paid to the study of the features and specifics of socialization in the field of tourism. This will enable to control regressive socialization and substantiate ways of improving socialization in the field of tourism, the most expedient use of which will promote the intensification of consolidation of Ukrainian society, increase its efficiency and enhance the perspective development.
