- The stability of the energy sector is a prerequisite for the prosperity of each country regardless of its level of development or the scale of its economy. Energy is the foundation of any modern economic activity. Therefore, to achieve and maintain a sufficient level of sustainability and high-tech development in modern societies, it is crucial to ensure (through appropriate mechanisms) the security of energy supply at affordable price for all consumers. Such a mechanism could be precisely the liberalization of the electricity market.
