In the case of certain sectors of the economy, they are established by so-called regulatory bodies. The main task of the regulatory bodies is to introduce competition in markets previously closed for competition. One of the most important features of these bodies is their independence from undertakings running economic activity on regulated markets and political influences. The aim of this article is to analyse the relationship between employees of the ofces of the regulatory bodies and their independence based on the example of the railway transport sector.
