- This article presents research on changes to the Polish public service law. Selected changes in the time period were presented (after 1989). The analyses were grouped into two categories, i.e. theoretical and practical factors. Therefore, it was possible to consider the compatibility of the requirement of the practical and effective operation of the civil service corps with the dog- matic assumptions of public service. In addition, the article presents perspectives for further, necessary changes to this area that should take place in order to further build the envisioned civil service in Poland.
