- In article, on the basis of the analysis of the literature regarding the definition of "competency in interpretation" and having studied the experience of leading Ukrainian and Chinese music teachers, are proved that the creative activities in the process of interpreting a musical compositions which encourages the development of musical abilities and artistic creative thinking, performance skills, creative vision and intuition, musical culture and artistic taste of the student generates an adequate self-assessment of professional and personal qualities of future musicians from China. Awareness of musical performance as an important component of future professional activity contributes to the formation of certain skills, creating a positive atmosphere that contributes to further professional development. The process of realization of content of musical composition by the performer plays various contexts functions: cognitive, educational, predictive, hedonistic, heuristic, communicative etc. So, the versatility of the artistic process of a student-singer in the context of interpretation of a musical work provides the development of professional skills, artistic experience, creative thinking and performance excellence that become the basic resources of competency in interpretation in his further independent creativity.
