- The aim of the article is to show the importance of the impact that Akhmatova’s tradition had on the formation of the leading themes and motifs of Rahlina’s poetry and the author artistic style of the author in the early period of her creativity and characterize the features of embodiment of Akhmatova’s tradition. The topicality of the chosen theme is determined, first of all, by the interest of domestic literary criticism to the problem of the individual classical poets’ influence on the work of their followers. In the course of our study the motif of one-way love has been analyzed on the material of Rahlina’s cycle “Duel”. The article also seeks to identify a number of similarities on the stylistic level of the artistic structure of the studied authors’ lyrical works. It was concluded that the correlation of Rahlina’s works with the creativity of Akhmatova also appears in the community of their value priorities and worldview. It is marked that the aim at the maximum sincerity, the pursuit of down-to-earth approach to realities of everyday life are equally inherent in both authors’ poetic systems.
