- Конфликт между Россией и Западом носит цивилизационный характер. Поиск истоков разделения между ними, выражающегося через непонимание, а иногда и вражду, позволяет говорить о том, что такие взаимоотношения установились в Средние века (например, по линиям противостояния «Русь и Европа», «православие и католицизм». Однако некоторые черты будущего противостояния можно отыскать еще в Античности – в конфликте между «западным» (латинским) Римом и «восточными» (греческим) Афинами. Основываясь на идеях цивилизационной теории, авторы обосновывают основные линии этого конфликта и раскрывают их происхождение. The conflict between Russian and West has civilizational nature. Extensive research on the origins of division between them, which is expressed through incomprehension and, sometimes, enmity, allows to say that even though such interrelations established in the Middle Ages (for example, “the Rus and the Europe”, “Eastern Orthodox Christianity and Catholicism”, some of their grounds we can find as far back in time as the conflict between “western” Latin Rome and the “eastern” Greek Athens. Based on the ideas of the civilizational theory the authors ground the main lines of the conflict and reveal their origins.
