- Анотація. У статті йдеться про специфіку наратологічного аналізу символістського тексту, зокрема, на матеріалі епопеї Марселя Пруста «У пошуках утраченого часу». Стверджується, що символістський роман Марселя Пруста як особливий тип тексту потребує розроблення особливої методології дослідження. У символістському романі головна ідея абстрактна, засоби її вираження конкретні: це символ як універсальна категорія людського мислення. Для того, щоб символ функціонував у багаторівневій структурі тексту, авторові символістського твору потрібно обрати спеціальну структуру наративу і відповідні стратегії і тактики, які вочевидь різняться від традиційних. Хронологія, прийоми, виміри наративу символістського роману конструюються за принципом градаційної значущості у становленні персонажів, їх розвитку, самовираження, моделювання індивідуальних цінностей, взаємодії людини із зовнішнім світом на межі сакрального / профанного. Марсель Пруст показав, що час і життя – нероздільні поняття, які у світогляді людини відіграють основну роль. У синхронному та діахронному аспектах час фіксується у світобаченні через певні події та емоції, які вони викликали, а головне – через ті образи-символи, які закарбовуються в пам’яті й відображають асоціативні відчуття. Саме тому Марсель Пруст дуже ретельно формував символістський корпус мовно-виразових засобів, які відіграють особливу когнітивну та інформативну ролі. Abstract. The article deals with the specifics of the naratological analysis of the symbolist text, in particular, on the material of Marcel Proust's epic "In Search of Lost Time." It is argued that the Marcel Proust Symbolist novel as a special type of text requires the development of a special methodology for research. In the symbolist novel, the main idea is abstract, the means of its expression are concrete: it is a symbol as a universal category of human thinking. In order for the symbol to function in the multi-level structure of the text, the author of the symbolist work must choose a special structure of the narrative and the corresponding strategies and tactics, which obviously differ from the traditional one. The chronology, techniques, and measurements of the narrative of the symbolist novel are constructed on the principle of gradation significance in the formation of characters, their development, self-expression, modeling of individual values, interaction of man with the outside world at the confines of sacred / profane. Marcel Proust showed that time and life are inseparable concepts that play a major role in the human worldview. In synchronous and diachronic aspects time is fixed in the world through certain events and emotions that they caused, and most importantly – through those insults-symbols that are captured in memory and reflect associative feelings. That is why Marcel Proust very carefully formed the symbolist body of language-expressive means, which play a special cognitive and informative role.
