- For characteristics of verbal world picture from anthropological point of view the basic initial level happens to be a man who cognizes the world and creates means of fixing and sharing knowledge about the world with other people as well as for his own cognition. The aim of the present research is to consider language means that reflect the concept of MAN in verbal world picture of F.S. Fitzgerald as a representative of the XXth centuary American English Literature. The object of this research is represented with verbal world picture of the mentioned writer. The subject is the concept of MAN properly. The article represents analysis of lexical peculiarities of the concept of MAN reflected in the verbal world picture of F.S. Fitzgerald. The research is done on the material of the texts of a number of stories by this American writer that have been considered little in the aspect of Cognitive Linguistics. The present research has proved the fact of the concept of MAN being the basis of anthropocentrism to have peculiarities of its realization in speech. The research has shown systematic character of the concept of MAN organization in the verbal world picture of F.S. Fitzgerald. Semantic attributes of the author individual segment connected with the nuclear domineering attributes at the level of associations reveal the specific reflection of the reality by the writer.
