- In today’s conditions of Ukraine’s economic development, the necessary prerequisite is the achievement of a balanced multi–dimensional development of higher education in Ukraine. This study is due to the fact that the totality of knowledge, skills and skills obtained in the educational process and subsequently bring income, represent human capital – one of the most important internal factors of the economic potential of the country. The state, trends of development and the forecast of the main indicators of higher education in Ukraine are analyzed with the help of economic and mathematical methods. The analysis of forecasting methods is carried out: simple average, sliding average, weighted sliding average and exponential smoothing.
