- Basketball includes sudden and fast movements, jumps, falls and other game actions. Modern basketball player has to own instant reaction, high speed of muscular deformation, spring ability, speed and other qualities in their certain combinations as the high level of development of functional systems serves as the subsoil for successful mastering techniques of a game and tactical interactions. Purpose: determination of stability of the vestibular analyzer at basketball players of student’s team on indicators of somatic shifts, under the influence of standard vestibular irritations on Barany chair. Material and methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature, studying of documentary materials and pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of definition of functional state of the vestibular analyzer, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: Indicators of vestibular stability of students – basketball players of the team Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture and their changes under the influence of special loads of average and high intensity are given in the article. Conclusions: Thus, on the basis of the statistical analysis of the data obtained after the testing, it is possible to note that changes of vestibular stability indicators after rotations on Barany chair, in a zone of small and average intensity – insignificant, and haven’t reliable differences between the results received before and after vestibular load. The results which were received after loads of high intensity, after standard vestibular irritations indicate reliable changes after the held by us test.
