Summary Several organizational diagnostic and treatment issues for the management of Kinsburn's encephalopathy or opsocionus myoclonus syndrome children are discussed in the article presented. The pathology named is unique clinical syndrome and requires additional researches of its etiology and pathogenesis, as well as search of new specific diagnostic and treatment methods aimed at slowing the progression of the disease. Diagnosis of the disease was carried out on the basis of detailed studies of anamnestic, molecular-genetic, scintigraphic, neuroimaging, tomographic, lymphocytic and neurological (opselonus, myoclonus, ataxia, behavioral and sleep) signs. The severity of the condition was determined with the use of Pranzatelli M. and Matthay K. scales. The key to successful treatment and further remission was the multiple combination of glucocorticoid, immunosuppressive and immunoglobulin therapy.
