- Optimal consideration is need of tools to make a good decision, the methods that can be applied to the process selections. Sometimes technology-based products provide many unique criteria and provide great benefits for users. Thus urgently needed appropriate methods for the selection of technology-based products. Weight Product Model (WPM) one of the methods that can be used to assist in the selection process, this method is the crystallization of scientific methods of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). WPM is a model settlement hierarchy process in a way to breakdown ranging from problems, criteria, and alternative. A product which is the object of research is a notebook with the same category with the Core i5 brand-type varying as SAMSUNG 470RE-K01ID, G470-0137 LENOVO, ASUS A450CC-WX250D, and TOSHIBA L840-1045. WPM is one form of modeling solutions that can be used for screening Notebook as technology-based products with multicriteria consideration. Of the process applied mathematical analysis can provide empirically decision to determine the amount of priority on technology-based products such as Notebook. Obtaining the results obtained with the WPM such as SAMSUNG is the highest priority with the weight value is 0.323, LENOVO with the weight value is 0264, ASUS with the weight value is 0.228, and TOSHIBA is smallest ranking priorities with the weighs value is 0.185.
