- The article is devoted to the legal analysis of confiscation of property in some countries of the European Union in order to improve the national legislation. Confiscation of property is an effective means of combating crime in other countries, which is the basis for the further development of the investigated punishment. The author analyzes the legislative base frame work of individual EU countries and international legal acts regulating the confiscation of property and ratified by the many of countries of the world.
