- Currently, the study of problems of economic security are very important. In the article the main definitions of the essence of the definition of “economic security”, considers the main approaches to the study of the influence of socio-economic factors on the economic security of Ukraine. The purpose of this article is to study the essence of economic security of the country and the study of dynamics of indicators of economic security of Ukraine. Studied that economic security is a synthetic category of macroeconomics, of Economics and political science, is closely connected with such categories as “economic independence and dependence”, “stability and vulnerability”, the “economic pressures”, “economic sovereignty”. On the basis of the method of logical analysis in the article the main approaches to the nature of the category “economic security”. Identifies the main threats to the economic security of Ukraine. Analyzed historical and economic preconditions of economic security. Given the dynamics of the= main factors determining economic security of Ukraine, and characterized their impact on the economic security of the country. It is proved that increase of economic security of Ukraine is the implementation of a fundamentally new economic development models, one of which may be the clustering of the economy.
