  • In the article the concept «readiness of the future teacher of physical culture to prevent the illegal behavior of adolescents» is considered, itsstructural components (motivational-value, cognitive, activity-reflective) are identified. Preparing students for preventive work involves solving the following problems: the formation of moral values as norms of one's own behavior, personal qualities, motives of activity; assimilation of the system of knowledge in the field of pedagogical prevention; acquiring of practical experience of preventive work. The solution of these problems requires the search for effective methods and means of training. One of the most promising methods of professional training of the future teacher for preventive work is the method of projects. The application of the project method in the process of forming the future teacher's readiness for the prevention of illegal behavior of adolescents requires the creation of pedagogical conditions, among which are the motivation, consciousness and activity of students in the development and implementation of the project; reliance on independent activity of students; Subject-subject relations of the teacher and participants of the project. One of the most promising methods of professional training of the future teacher for preventive work is the method of projects. The application of the project method in the process of forming the future teacher's readiness for the prevention of unlawful behavior of adolescents requires the creation of pedagogical conditions,among which: the motivation, consciousness and activity of students in the development and implementation of the project; reliance on independent activity of students; subject-subject relations of the teacher and participants of the project. The article presents practical experience of implementing a socially significant project «The Future Begins Today!». The algorithm for the development and implementation of a social project is related to the stages of forming the future teacher's readiness for preventive activities and includes the preparatory, main and final stages. The algorithm of work on a social project encourage the developmentof equally all structural components of the readiness of the future teacher of physical culture for prevention. The result of our experimental work made it possible to reveal the advantages of using the project method in the process of preparing future physical education teachers for preventive work: high motivational potential, actualization andintegration of knowledge from various subject areas, "involvement" of students in professional activities, development of professionally significant personal qualities offuture teachers.
