- The article highlights the key factors hampering the development of sanatorium and resort area in Ukraine. The theoretical bases for the definition of the essence of the concept «financial and economic safety of institutions of sanatorium and resort sphere» are generalized. The factors influencing the formation of financial and economic security of sanatorium and resort facilities are outlined. The instruments of formation of financial and economic safety of sanatorium and resort facilities institutions are scientifically substantiated. . The importance of investments as one of the effective tools for the formation of financial and economic security of the sanatorium–resort sector institutions has been proved and proposals have been made to increase its level.
