  • in the political context, students who are aged 17 years and above are subject to padded political participants, as they are the first time voters, amounting to approximately 30% of the total number of registered voters. The election of the Governor of Riau will be held in 2018 and General Election to elect members of parliament and President and Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia will be held in 2019 respectively. National education curricula do not yet include subject on political education in the schools. It will certainly has an effect on several things, including: First, the lack of students understanding towards politics, both practice and theoretical. Second, the lack of political understanding of the impact on apolitics or passive on the political condition of the nation. Third, the political leadership cadres can not be implemented thoroughly for youth or only focused for those who are only interested in politics. However, this community service in the form ofpolitical education socialization is extremely important as well as part of a tri dharma that can not be separated from the life of a lecturer. The socialization is also an effort to help the government to reduce the number of “unparticipated-voters” on the pretext of democracy that will be implemented in the future.
