- In Christianity, the Passion is the short final period in the life of Jesus covering his entrance visit to Jerusalem and leading to his crucifixion on Mount Calvary, defining the climactic event central to Christian doctrine of Salvation History. On the other hand, at the same time many Christians celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation (from Latin Annuntiatio Domini or Conceptio Christi, corresponding to ancient Greek Εὐαγγελισμός), commemorates the visit of the archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary, during which he informed her that she would be the mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Feast of the Annunciation is celebrated on 25 March each year, except in those years, when it is transferred forward to the first suitable day during Eastertide. According to said tradition, the remembrance on the memorable events during Eastertide, starting with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, coincides with the celebration of his revival and the beginnig of his life. Such coincidence symbolizes the never ending circle of life.
