Tree Music, commissioned by the University of Virginia Art Museum, used awireless camera with a wide-angle lens to capture motion andocclusion data from exhibit visitors. We show how GAIA wasused to structure and navigate the compositional space, and howthis program supports both graphical and text-based programmingin the same application. GAIA provides a GUI which combinestwo open-source applications: RTcmix and Perl.
