- Article deals with theoretical aspects of such notions as «attitude», «attitude towards the learning», «emotional attitude towards the learning» (EAL). Students’ psychic states emerging from the process of their learning activity were analyzed. The questions of emotional tension of educational process caused by intensive intellectual activity, excessive demands of content, forms, and methods of higher education to students’ intellect are discussed. I has been underlined that such emotional factors considerably diminish educational motivation and cause emotional ill-being. The empirical method («Color Test of Attitudes» by O. Etkind), sample as well as the main stages, conditions of experiment are described. The results of empirical study of students’ unaware EAL are represented. Indices of students’ unaware EAL that depend on their educational motivation level, indices of gender differences in attitude towards learning of students with the different level motivation are discussed.
