- This paper discusses the possibility of complex dyamics and chaos in a standard Keynesian economic system. Departing from the dynamic evolution of income, capital and interest rates, as the essential variables of our system, and under specific assumptions, under certain parametric conditions the system loses its stability and undergoes a bifurcation process which leads to complex dynamics and chaos.
