- The article shows the influence of globalization on the Georgian economy and the main problems, related the food security of the local consumer market. The paper studies the role of healthy nutrition in ensuring food security and sustainable development of consumers. The main focus is on awareness consumers about healthy nutrition, which is presented, as the most important issue of social marketing. To determine the attitude of Georgian consumers to healthy nutrition, conducted a marketing research. On the basis of the research revealed levels of consumers' awareness of healthy nutrition, sources of information and their reliability, also attitudes to different categories of product composition. From the point of view of the relation to healthy nutrition, in the work are identified the main types of consumers and is determined influence on consumer awareness to be healthy nutrition of the age, sex and income. In the paper is given the impact of consumers' awareness of healthy nutrition on the decision-making to purchase. On the basis of the conducted study, conclusions have been drawn that give a possibility of global vision on the attitude of the Georgian consumers towards healthy nutrition.
