- Background. Mortality rate caused by the lack of blood supply wasincreased in development countries. The fact, blood donor percentage stilllow that caused restrictiveness to fill blood requirement that moreincreased. Restrictiveness amount of blood donor can caused by the lowof knowledge about blood donor, any wrong perception about blood donor,or the anxiety about blood donor procedure.Objective. To know description of knowledge, attitude, and blood donorpractice of college student at Medical Faculty of Tanjungpura UniversityPontianak.Method. This research was a descriptive study with cross-sectionaldesign. Amount of sample is 82 person and to get the sample used simplerandom sampling. Data got used quesioner.Result. Sample knowledge about blood donor in a large part is good(58,54%). Sample attitude toward blood donor in a large part is good(85,4%). Sample practice in a large part is never done blood donor(87,8%).Conclusion. College student at Medical Faculty of Tanjungpura UniversityPontianak in a large part have a good knowledge about blood donor(58,54%), good attitude toward blood donor (85,4%), but never done blooddonor (87,8%).Suggestion. Improve the promotion or healthy study to the society aboutblood donor.
