  • The purpose of this study is to determine how much motivation and performance of employees and whether the motivation to have a relationship with performance of employee's PTPN V Kebun Sei Rokan Pagaran Tapah Darusalam District Rokan Hulu Regency. Data were collected using questionnaires of 32 employees PTPN V Kebun Sei Rokan Pagaran Tapah Darusalam District Rokan Hulu Regency. The analysis technique used is the Spearman rank correlation, while the significance test using the t test. Recapitulation of motivation got a score of 4.06 in good category, it can be concluded that employee motivation PTPN V is good. This is reflected in the aspects of existence obtained a score of 4.12 good category, Relatedness obtained a score of 3.96 and Growth obtain a score of 4.12 in both good categories. Performance got a score of 3.97 with a high category, it can be concluded that the performance of employees in PTPN V is high, seen from the aspect of loyalty got a score of 4.03 with a high category, Leadership got a score of 4.02 with a high category, Cooperation got a score of 4, 00 with high category, initiative got a score of 4.05 with the high category, Responsibility got a score of 3.86 with a high category and Achieving Target got a score of 3.86 with a high category. The results of the data analysis states that there are positive and significant relationship between work motivation and employee performance. It can be seen from the test results using Spearman rank correlation that shows that there is a significant relationship between work motivation and employee performance is shown by the results of rho 0.646 > r of the table is 0.364. The test results of significance for the variable X (Work Motivation) t (4.629) greater than t table (1.697). It can be concluded that the individual variables related to Y (Performance Employees).
