- Total emissions of the fuel in the form of exhaust gases and particulates in the recovery boiler combustion products to the air pollution it causes a serious problem to be solved. The purpose of this study was to determine how much exhaust emissions produced a recovery boiler and engineering use of electrostatic precipitator (ESP) so that the exhaust gas and particulate emissions can be reduced. Steps in this research is mathematically compute capacity flue gas released by the recovery boiler (m3/h) and analyzed data on the ESP exhaust gas that is not working on one of the recovery boiler. The results obtained in the calculation of SCA (specific area) on ESP Recovery Boiler with the normal functioning condition amounted to 19.87 m2 per 1000 m3 / h, whereas if one of the ESP does not work, its value SCA is 14.9 m2 per 1,000 m3 / h.
