- The study aim to identify the species of plants used as medicinal used by the community in the Subdistrict Kunto Darussalam. This study was conducted from June to August 2016. This study is qualitative desriptive with interview and survey technique. The result found 19 family from 29 species of plants are used as medicine. The most dominating families are Zingiberaceae family consisting of 7 species such as galangal (Alpinia galanga (L.) Wild.), Turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val.), temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb.), bangle (Zingiber purpureum Roxb.), Ginger red (Zingiber officinale Var rubrum.), white turmeric (Kaempferia rotunda L.) and ginger (Zingiber officinale).
