Daftar Isi:
  • Pacar Kuku leaves (Lawsonia inermis L.) are known as medicine in some rural communities, traditionally used as wound healing drug, and diarrheal drugs. This study aims to determine the chemical component of ethanol extract of henna leaves with antibacterial activity by Bioautography-TLC And DPPH method. Activity screening test of ethanol extract of henna leaves using 9 test bacteria and the screening result with the concentration of 0,05% is active against 4 test bacteria, is Salmonella typhi, Vibrio cholerae, Basillus subtilis, and Escherichia coli. The result of Bioautography-TLC test from the separation of compound by TLC using eluen n-hexane: ethyl acetate: ethanol (4: 2: 0,5) was obtained active spots at Rf 0.10, 0.30, 0.41, 0.70 and 0.85. The result of chemical group identification giving antibacteria activity by Bioautography-TLC with Rf value 0.10, 0.30, and 0.70 shows flavonoid chemistry group while the Rf value of 0.85 is a class of alkaloids chemistry. Based on results of the recearch that ethanol extract pacar kuku Leaves (Lawsonia inermis L.) the result of chemical group indentification by TLC shows class compound flavonoid chemistry with Rf 0.10, 0.30, 0.70 value and class compound alcaloids chemistry with Rf 0.85 value obtained active to bacterial test. The result of antioxidant testing used DPPH reagent showed that Rf 0.70 Value contain antioxidant positive.
