  • Rural poverty has become typical phenomena in Indonesian poverty. One of them happened in Bleberan village, in the district of Playen in Gunung Kidul regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta province. Two decades ago, that village had known as remote area and poor. Nowadays, Blebera’s face becomes more prosperous after being the excellent destination for tourism. That situation can’t be separated from the role of Village Enterprise (BUMDes) which successfully develops village potency as tourist destination. The power of village enterprise as wheel of economic driver actually determined by its capacity in empowering social capital, there are organization, trust, norm and network.
