- The titled of this research is the role of the Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) as promotion media at Nglanggeran tourism village. the rapid development of information technology makes internet as a marketing communication tools are much in demand is the background of this research. The SID is an application that has received support from the government with a legal basis law no.6 of 201 4 about village. The SID has a function as information media to make easy any administration public service and to inform any potential that exists in the village. Based on these problems, this research discusses about how the role of the SID as promotion media at Nglanggeran tourism village. the method used in this researchs is qualitatibe metod with case study approach. This research used promotion theory from Kotler and Keller. The result of this research found that SID has big role to increase tourism visits.
