- ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode quiz team dalam model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo pada materi larutan penyangga. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo yang terdiri dari lima kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Kelompok eksperimen yaitu kelas XI MIPA3 dan kelompok kontrol adalah XI MIPA4. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen 83,38 lebih tinggi dari kelompok kontrol yaitu 73,37. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa data kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berasal dari populasi yang homogen tetapi tidak terdistribusi normal sehingga uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji statistik non-parametrik, Mann-Whitney dengan α = 0,05 dan diperoleh Zhitung>Ztabel (2,96>1,64). Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode quiz team dalam model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo pada materi pokok larutan penyangga.Kata kunci: metode quiz team, model discovery learning, hasil belajar, larutan penyangga ABSTRACTThis research was quasi experiment research that aimed to know the effect of quiz team method in discovery learning model toward students learning outcomes of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo on subject matter of buffer solution. The research design was posttest only control group design. The population of this research was students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo that consist of five classes. Sampling was conducted by random sampling that the experimental group was XI MIPA 3 and the control group was XI MIPA 4. The results of descriptive analysis showed that average of learning outcomes of experimental group was 83,38 higher than the control group was 73,37. The results of inferential statistic analysis showed that data on the experimental group and the control group were homogeneous but not normally distributed, so hypothesis testing using non-parametric test by Mann-Whitney with α = 0.05 that was obtained Zhitung>Ztabel (2,96>1,64). Base those data, it can be concluded that there was an effect of quiz team method in discovery learning model toward student learning outcomes of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo on subject matter of buffer solution.Keywords: quiz team method, discovery learning model, learning outcomes, buffer solution
