- ABSTRAKKemajuan dari teknologi khususnya teknologi informasi sekarang ini semakin berkembang dengan pesat sehingga banyak dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai bidang .Teknologi informasi pun telah diterapkan dalam metode penjurusan bagi siswa SMA dengan berbasis aplikasi dekstop. Proses penjurusan dilakukan untuk pemilihan konsentrasi sesuai dengan bakat dan kemampuan setiap siswa. Berdasarkan observasi yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis berupa wawancara langsung kepada guru BK SMA Islam Kepanjen memperoleh beberapa hal antara lain : Pengambilan jurusan yang dilakukan memakan waktu yang cukup lama, Pengambilan jurusan juga mengacu pada sistem yang sudah diberikan oleh kurikulum dan berpatok pad a tiga komponen yaitu tes IQ, minat dan nilai akademis siswa. Masalah tersebut yang melatar belakangi pembuatan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penentuan Penjurusan di SMA Menggunakan Metode Neural Network Backpropagation ( Study kasus SMA Islam Kepanjen).Aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan ini dibuat dengan menggunakan aplikasi java netbeans 7.4. Dari pembuatan aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan yang menggunakan metode neural network backpropagation ini dihasilkan sebuah penentuan penjurusan dengan mempertimbangkan minat dan kemampuan siswa tidak hanya berpacu pada nilai saja .Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Sistem Pendukung keputusan penjurusan SMA dengan metode neural network baskpropagation ini telah berhasil dibuat.Kata kunci : DSS, Neural Network Backpropagation, Penjurusan SMA, Java NetbeansABSTRACTAdvancement of technology, especially information technology today is growing rapidly so widely used in various fields. Information technology has also been applied in the method of majors for students with a high school-based desktop applications. The process for the selection of majors conducted in accordance with the concentration of talents and abilities of each student. Based on the observations made by the author in the form of interviews to teachers BK SMA Islam Kepanjen acquire several things, among others: Decision majors do take quite a long time, Intake Department also refers to a system that already provide d by the curriculum and the three components of the test IQ, and academic interests of students. The problem that the background for the manufacture of Decision Support Systems majors in high school Determination Method Using Backpropagation Neural Network (SMA case Study of Islam Kepanjen). This decision support system applications created using netbeans 7.4 java applications. From the making of the decision support system application using the backpropagation neural network method produced a determination majors taking into account the interests and abilities of students not only raced on value alone. Based on the research that has been done it is concluded that a decision support system with a high school majors baskpropagation neural network method has been successfully created.Keywords: DSS, Neural Network Backpropagation, high school majors, Java Netbeans
