PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR METEMATIKA MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN MEDIA BENDA ASLI

  • This study was conducted because of the low math learning result on the subject of figures with a flat side for class VI A of SDN 1 Gembolirang Kabat second semester of academic year 2012 / 2013. It can be seen from the result of the daily test and the average value is less than 70, the daily tests of data previously obtained 23 (74.2 %) from 31 students are still under value are 70. The ability to calculate, the student is very low, especially on the subject of figure with flat side. One of the efforts to solve it is by using the original media learning object. Students are divided into small groups consisting of 4 people with different abilities. Each group brings everyday objects are shaped in accordance with the flat figure (cubes, blocks , prism and pyramid) the purpose of bringing the original object was to bring from the abstract to the concrete so that students can find by themselves the concept of wide figure flat side by observing the objects that they bring . The learning is done by 2 cycles , where in the first cycle used the original object media but hadn’t with the net and the second cycle was accompanied by nets cubes, blocks, prism and pyramid that are made by each group . Learning result with original object media shows that the increase of learning result which students are achieving in cycle 1 there are 13 people (42 %) and cycle 2 there are 24 people (77.42 %). The completeness of classical learning in cycle 1 was 42 %, while in cycle 2 reached 77.42 %. The activity of student in cycle 1 from 60.1 % increased to 92.12 % in cycle 2. So we can conclude that the media learning strategy with the original object media can be applied in learning of figures with flat side.
