- The physical properties of mixed herbal handsanitizer liquid preparations of betel (Piper betle. L.), fragrant lemongrass (Cymbopogon benardus L.), aloe vera (Aloe vera L.), and lemon (citrus aurantifolia L.) have been tested. The plants used in this study contain secondary metabolites, namely flavonoids, essential oils, saponins, polyphenols, and tannins which have been shown to have antibacterial activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical properties of herbal handsanitizers which include: organoleptic test, pH test, and skin irritation test. The research method is a laboratory experimental research method. The results of this research are from the organoleptic test, namely the handsanitizer is yellowish green, smelly, there is no separation, and is liquid. The pH test was 5 and did not show a reddish rash on the skin when tested for irritation. It can be concluded that the handsanitizer is a mixture of betel (Piper betle. L.), fragrant lemongrass (Cymbopogon benardus L.), aloe vera (Aloe vera L.), and lemon (citrus aurantifolia L.). safe to use and has met SNI.
- Telah dilakukan uji sifat fisik sediaan cair handsanitizer herbal campuran dari sirih (Piper betle. L.), sereh wangi (Cymbopogon benardus L.), lidah buaya (Aloe vera L.), dan lemon (citrus aurantifolia L.). Tanaman yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu flavonoid, minyak atsiri, saponin, polifenol, dan tanin yang telah terbukti memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sifat fisik dari handsanitizer herbal yang meliputi: uji organoleptik, uji pH, dan Uji iritasi kulit. Metode penelitian adalah metode penelitian eksperimental laboratorium. Hasil dari penelitian ini dari uji organoleptik yaitu handsanitizer ini berwarna hijau kekuningan, berbau, tidak terdapat pemisahan, dan berbentuk cair. Uji pH menunjukkan sebesar 5 dan tidak menunjukkan ruam kemerahan pada kulit saat dilakukan uji iritasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa handsanitizer campuran dari sirih (Piper betle. L.), sereh wangi (Cymbopogon benardus L.), lidah buaya (Aloe vera L.), dan lemon (Citrus aurantifolia L.). aman untuk digunakan dan telah memenuhi SNI.
