- Independence development is carried out with the aim that after convicts leave the penitentiary they can be independent by working for other people or opening their own business so that they can be useful in society. The self-reliance program at the Blitar Class IIB prison is the production of puli crackers. These crackers are snacks as a complement to meals that are in great demand. The method used in this research is empirical juridical method while the type of research is descriptive research. The data collection techniques are literature studies, references and interviews, which are analyzed qualitatively (writing or sentences) to use deductive thinking method analysis. The production of puli crackers in Blitar Class IIB prison has increased significantly so that it is able to sell its products to the international market (exports). Self-reliance coaching can affect the competence of the inmates in the cracker production process.
- Pembinaan kemandirian dilakukan dengan tujuan yaitu setelah narapidana keluar dari lembagaa pemasyaraktan mereka dapat mandiri dengan bekerja pada orang lain atau membuka usaha sendiri sehingga mereka dapat berguna ditengah masyarakat. Program kemandirian di Lapas Kelas IIB Blitar adalah produksi kerupuk puli. Kerupuk ini merupakan makanan ringan sebagai pelengkap makan yang banyak diminati. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode yuridis empiris sedangkan jenis penelitian yaitu dengan penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah studi kepustakaan, referensi dan wawancara, yang dianalisis secara kualitatif (tulisan atau kalimat) hingga menggunakan analisis metode berfikir deduktif. Produksi kerupuk puli di Lapas Kelas IIB Blitar meningkat secara signifikan sehingga mampu menjual produk hingga tembus ke pasar internasional (ekspor). Pembinaan kemandirian dapat berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi warga binaan pada proses produksi kerupuk.
