- Internet presence is believed to have influence on human communication. One of them is self-disclosure issue. This research will describe the self-disclosure among teenager. This is believed to be important to be done, because the current internet users in Indonesia is mostly teenager. The depiction of self-disclosure among teenager over the internet, will provide an overview of the reality of what happened in the virtual communication. Analysis is based on interpersonal communication theories by referring to a thought of Joseph devito and the self-disclosure concept from Richard West and Lynn Turner. This research will be done in quantitative paradigm, through survey methods to high school students in Central Jakarta. The result of data analysis come to the conclusion that the self-disclosure more often done when related to things that are common in the public discussion, while the personal things are still reluctant to be revealed over the internet.
