- Drinking water quality is a concern issue world-wide; thus, drinking water quality guidelines for human consumption are significant. However due to the difference conditions of countries, there is no single approach that is universally applicable. The WHO Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality is used as the international water quality guidelines. Among developed countries, Australia (ADWG), UK (BS6700), and the US are countries that have better drinking water quality guidelines; than the Canadianâ€TMs. While as developing countries, India and China still need to improve their drinking water guidelines.
