  • Background. The growth of numbers of vehicles in the city of Semarang great potential for air polution that will give effect to health. The impact of lead exposure to human health are hypertension, anemia, children intelligence reduction due to brainâ€TMs degrading functions and hemoglobin formation inhabitance. Objective. To understand the correlation between of lead in blood with hemoglobin and erythrocytes by the working time duration on female operators gas station in south of Semarang city. Methods. The research uses cross sectional design with 30 samples. The independent variables area lead in blood and working time duration, while the dependent variables are hemoglobin and erythrocytes. Pearson Correlation Product Moment is the statistic test used in this research. Results. Respondentâ€TMs average working time duration is 5 months on 8 person (26,7 %). Blood lead on most of them is > 20 mg/dL, which the WHO defined on 22 person (73,3 %), hemoglobin on most of the female operators gas station is still normal on 21 persons (70 %), and the erythrocytes on 25 person (83,3 %). There is no significant correlation between working time duration with lead in blood with r = -0,202 and p= 0,283 (p>0,05). Conclusion. There is no correlation between lead in the blood, working time duration with hemoglobin and erythrocytes. Keywords.
