  • Employee is someone who works or someone who is able to work to produce a service or goods from work. This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and discipline on employee performance. This research was conducted at PT. Hi-Precision Engineering Indonesia which is located in Komp Century Park Blok F No.9, Batam Center. The sample in this study amounted to 178 people taken using saturated sampling techniques. In this study there are a number of tests used, namely data quality test, classic assumption test, influence test and hypothesis. From this study it was found that employee motivation has a positive effect and significant to the performance of employees with a significant value of 0.008 > 0,5 and obtained the value of t count 2.690 > t table 1.973. Based on the results of this study that discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a significant value of 0.008 > 0,5 and obtained a t value of 2.690 > t table 1.973. From the results of this study it was found that motivation and discipline simultaneously had a significant influence on employee performance with the results of the coefficient of determination (R2) being 32.1%.
