- Introduction: Nowadays, the need for medical record services must be held as evidence of the process of services provided to patients. Health worker who is responsible for coding activities is a medical record officer who gets a jobdisk as a coding officer. Implementation of the diagnosis coding must be complete and accurate in accordance with the icd-10 directives. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of the characteristics of coding officers to the accuracy of coding diagnoses. Methods: Quantitative research method with cross sectional approach. Variables in this study are the characteristics of the officers and the accuracy of the diagnosis coding, samples in the study of all medical record officers at the Kartika Husada Donomulyo Clinic. Results: The result obtained is a p value = 0.046, so that a p value of 0.046 < a value of α = 0.05 is interpreted as H1 received which results in a relationship between the characteristics of officers and accuracy of coding at the Kartika Husada Donomulyo Clinic. Conclusion: Individual characteristics of each consisting of age, gender, education, length of service, and staffing status affect the accuracy of the encoding of the diagnosis at the Kartika Husada Donomulyo Clinic.
- Pendahuluan: Dewasa ini kebutuhan pelayanan rekam medis wajib diselenggarakan sebagai bukti proses pelayanan yang diberikan pada pasien. Nakes yang bertanggung jawab dalam kegiatan pengkodean merupakan petugas rekam medis yang mendapatkan jobdisk sebagai petugas coding. Pelaksanaan pengkodean diagnosis harus lengkap dan akurat sesuai dengan arahan ICD-10. Pelaksanaan kodefikasi diagnosis harus jelas, benar, lengkap dan akurat sesuai dengan arahan ICD-10. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik petugas coding terhadap ketepatan pengkodean diagnosis. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Variable penelitian ini yaitu karakteristik petugas dan ketepatan pengkodean diagnosis, sampel dalam penelitian seluruh petugas rekam medis yang ada di Klinik Kartika Husada Donomulyo. Hasil: Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu nilai p value = 0,046, sehingga p value 0,046 < nilai α = 0,05 diartikan H1 diterima yang menghasilkan adanya hubungan antara karakteristik petugas dengan ketepatan coding di Klinik Kartika Husada Donomulyo. Kesimpulan: Karakteristik individu masing-masing yang terdiri dari umur, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, masa kerja, dan status kepegawaian mempengaruhi ketepatan pengkodean diagnosis di Klinik Kartika Husada Donomulyo.
